First Stage
The 20″ micron polypropylene sediment pre-filter to extract suspended materials such as sediment, rust, insects, and other particles down to 5 micron. This cartridge also extends life of other, more expensive cartridges and prevents damage
Second Stage
Multi-stage 20″ filter consists of one micron filter pad, 4lbs of KDF-55, Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), and another 1-micron pad. KDF removes heavy metals from water and significantly extends the life of granular activated carbon by protecting the carbon bed from fouling by bacterial growth.
